Following its strategic plan to increase employee productivity and in line with its commitment to further develop the skills and abilities of its staff members, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently organised a leadership training session on the development and promotion of skills pertaining to work teams. The training course took place at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi for two consecutive days.
The training was attended by each of HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF; assistant undersecretaries, directors of units as well as heads of departments, in addition to directors of teams and projects at the Ministry..
The training session was offered by Dr. Bibi Alajmi, Ph.D in Knowledge Management and Corporate Communications at the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Kuwait and aimed to review the different types and patterns of leadership in global financial institutions. He also presented the most important administrative and organisational skills which are necessary to face challenges in managing work teams. In addition, the session gave participants the opportunity to develop important communications skills as well as to activate leadership roles in the management of work teams; while providing the most significant institutional methods to encourage and motivate employees.
